Self-care ON! 10 things to do before going to bed.

Classic issue: Women neglecting their needs to take better care of those around them. This can be especially true of mothers! It is time to start pampering ourselves. Let’s try to find a different mindset and let’s make sure to include self-care in our daily routine.

We believe that happiness starts from within. Let’s make this our motto from now on!

Here are 10 things to do before going to bed to get our self-care ON.

Beauty routine

We all have our beauty routines, but for those of you who don’t, here are a few steps that will help you wipe the day off and prepare for what tomorrow as to offer.

Don’t worry, it will only take 5-10 minutes and it will make you feel fresh and relaxed.

Step 1. Wash your face with a clean, wet cloth (hot water is a must).

Step 2. Toner time! I personally use Fresh Rose Deep Hydration toner. The rose smell and the hydration levels are the perfect match for my dry skin! Especially in winter😊

Step 3. Next is moisturizing. I use Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream. A little dot goes a long way and you can feel your skin soaking in every little ounce of hydration.

Step 4. Next up is the lip sleeping mask from Laneige. Don’t be shy to apply generously and leave it overnight.

Your lips will thank you! You will wake up with hydrated, coloured, and plump lips!

Now that we have our face covered (no pun intended), let’s take care of our body and brain.

Step 5. PJ time. Put on the most comfortable PJs, you have (I’ll settle for silk any day, every day).

Step 6. Put on that fluffy robe and slip on your heavenly comfy Joy slippers (Yes, I said Joy slippers because our Nuknuuk Joy slipper is just a Joy to wear) … pun intended😊

Step 7. Now for the soul: I love the ease of using meditation apps. I use the Yoga app. Intro course level 1.

I have been trying to meditate for years, but I cannot get myself to unplug so I have only made it to level 1 breathing in and out.

It does calm me down just enough to connect with my body and bring my anxiety level down for the night.

Step 8. Reach for a book (or eBook). I am currently deep in Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones. Hint on what my second 2020 resolution is.

Step 9. Pick the perfect spot in your home and just sit back, read a few chapters, or the entire book and let your mind unplug.
